Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato Italiano, in line with its mission and commitment to preservation of national interests and public faith, plays an important role at national level for the protection of products and services provided by the Company on behalf of the Italian Government.
As consequence of this commitment, the company function of CYPSEC (Cyber Physical Security Centre) has been set up, providing the CERT service (Computer Emergency Response Team): a group of information security experts responsible for the protection against, detection of and response to cybersecurity incidents.
Real-Time Security Monitoring
Detecting and managing information security threats in real time through a Security Information and Event Management infrastructure (SIEM) that collects, correlates and analyses log data across business' infrastructure
Incident Analysis and Response
Detecting security incidents and providing timely-manner response, addressing and managing security breaches or cyberattacks and coordinating activities to handle the situation in a way that limits damage and reduces recovery time and costs.
Providing security bulletins related to the evolution of cyber threats, in order to decrease exposure perimeter and to increase security levels.
Threat Intelligence & infosharing
Collaborating with qualified national and international authorities to ensure a rightly managed information exchange, identifying common Indicators of Compromise (IoC) and addressing the necessary actions in order to prevent and avoid potential cyber-attacks.
Executing, periodically and on demand, vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and source code reviews in order to identify, classify and prioritize vulnerabilities affecting IT systems, applications and network infrastructures with a risk-based approach, ensuring an effective secure application development lifecycle and improving the awareness of threats affecting the company.
